How to Use Your Normatec Boots

Follow this step-by-step walkthrough to set up, zip up, and start healing.

1. Charge it up.

  1. Make sure the black control box (the "brain" of the machine) is charged or plugged into a wall outlet.
  2. Plug in the Hose: Take the big end of the air hose and push it into the side of the control box until you hear a click.

2. Put the Boots On

  1. Check Your Pockets: Take everything out of your pockets and wear thin clothes, like gym shorts or leggings.
  2. Zip Up: Slide your legs into the boots. Make sure you zip them all the way to the top. If you leave them halfway open, the boots could break when they blow up with air.

3. Hook Everything Together

  1. Connect the Legs: Take the two smaller ends of the hose and plug them into the connectors near the feet of the boots. Listen for that click again to make sure they are locked in.

4. Pick Your Settings

  1. Turn it On: Press the power button on the side of the box.
  2. Set the Clock: Choose how long you want to use them. Usually, 30 to 45 minutes is perfect for recovery after a game or workout.
  3. Pick the Pressure: Levels go from 1 to 7. If it’s your first time, start at a 3 or 4. You want it to feel like a firm massage, but it shouldn't hurt!
  4. ZoneBoost: If one part of your leg (like your calves) is extra sore, you can hit the "ZoneBoost" button to give that spot some extra power.

5. Relax

  1. Press Play: Hit the start button. The boots will start filling with air, starting at your feet and moving up to your hips.
  2. Sit Back: You can’t walk around in these, so grab your phone or a book and just hang out until the timer is up.

6. Cleaning Up

  1. Unplug: When the time is up, the air will let out. Press the small buttons on the hose connectors to pull them out of the boots.
  2. Store It: Unzip the boots, step out, and put everything away neatly so the hoses don't get tangled.
